Biography

Hello, I’m Jocelyn (she/her) MSW, RSW || I’m a Registered Social Worker with 20+ years of experience helping individuals and families navigate mental health and adapt to life changes. At Able Mental Health, I offer supportive services tailored to your unique situation and accessibility needs. I specialize in helping people living with disabilities and chronic health conditions – with a unique passion for supporting people whose lives are impacted by limb loss/amputation(s).

Bridging both my professional background and personal experience as a person living with a limb difference, I understand firsthand what it is like to navigate life with a disability and adapt. Before starting my practice, I worked in hospitals and community mental health supporting people with chronic illness, neurocognitive disabilities, and complex health needs. I bring that deep practical knowledge—along with genuine care—into every session with you.

Whether you are coping with a new diagnosis, adjusting to a physical change, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I’m here to help. I focus is on listening to your story, helping you build practical coping strategies, and work collaborative together to improve your well-being.

I offer free initial consultations and serve clients virtually across Ontario, Nove Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador. Take a gander at my website (www.ablementalhealth.ca) for more information on my guiding values and clinical approach.
